2005 NKPHTS Annual Convention - Indianapolis, IN

On Saturday, October 1, NKPHTS Convention attendees were treated to an extraordinary day of rail activities by the Indiana Transportation Museum. Members boarded a passenger consist pulled by NKP GP-7 #426, a consist which included the Van Sweringen's personal car, NKP Business Car #1. Itinerary for the day was a trip to Tipton, IN for an Italian spaghetti and pizza buffet, with stops along the way for photo run-by opportunities. Once back at the ITM, attendees were given time to visit the museum displays, followed by a trip to downtown Noblesville which was highlighted by a photo run-by of a freight consist pulled by NKP 426 with NKP caboose #770 bringing up the rear.
